PRG Realty Deals Preston Hollow Land for $22M Upscale Residential Condominium Project
DALLAS-PRG Realty Investors has contributed its 1.4 acre parcel one of the last developable tracts in Preston Hollow, in a reworked plan by PRG Realty to see a 100+ unit upscale condominium development rising on the site of the famed Il Sorrento restaurant. The land and the condominium development plan will cost over $22 million to deliver.
The Dallas-based PRG bought the site in November 2003, with the initial plan of building medical office condos. It was not until the feasibility of developing high-end residential condos was presented by Glenbrook Residential, a long-time Dallas apartment and condominium developer, that PRG decided to change its course of action.
Development of the site is planned to commence in November 2005 after a zoning change is completed which will result in use more consistent with the neighborhood. It is expected that the units will be delivered within 12 months of development commencement.
